Copy and Paste.
"Imitation is not sincerest from of flattery....So come come up with your own original ideas and leave mine alone." - Unknown
From the moment we were born we were told to be ourselves, but what if other people want to be us? What if people are trying to copy and paste us? I'm getting very frustrated because this is happening to me.I do on thing and this person (who shall be left unnamed) does it...... better. For example I got new Converse a couple months ago and my friends said they were cool. Then this person got Converse and everybody loved them! This person never had an interest in the shoes but I on the other hand had always had an interest because my older brother Ewen got a pair on his 12th birthday and after a while I wanted a pair. I got a blue pair the next year when I turned 11 and they lasted me a few years. This year for Christmas I got a black pair and I love them. Another thing about me being copied and pasted is I love comics and superheros, mostly villains thought,I really do and this person who has never showed the slightest interest in them all of a sudden loves them just because they heard me talking to a girl about it and she liked it. Well the next thing you know this person likes superheros and comics and everybody knows because they won't let you forget it! I really do feel like I'm being copied and pasted. Like all my originality is being striped away from me.
If you also feel like this comment below. "you have to do stuff that average people don't understand because those are the only good things." - Andy Warhol

No Need to Deny.
a poem by Albert Safford.
I’ve been trapped inside a place
where I know
there’s no escape
All my secrets have been revealed
I’m left tormented and unhealed
I wish this nightmare would just end
All my hopes and all dreams
Have been titled as blasphemes
I can see the world from a bird’s eye
I think I have to
die
I make up my mind, tomorrow is the day
Buildings taller than the sky, I think I’m going to die
There’s no reason to deny
yes I know I’m
going to die
I have a smile on my face as the sun shines down on me
Because I know that I’ll be free
I climb up 50 floors to get right up to the top
Feel the breeze go through my hair and the warm light on
my face
I’m so happy I’m so free
I feel as if nothing can stop me
One last look upon the city that is miles away from me
I reflect on my short life and all the pain I had to see
Once I take my leap of faith and leave this world behind
Everyone one is going to know
That my life just got so messed up and this world became
gritty
My life just wasn't meant to be
The people who have caused this their names are left
unsaid
I can only say one thing about it
My jump was because of them
Yes there’s no need to deny
I’m going to die

"Popular".
Popular- ad. Liked, admired, and enjoyed by many people or by a particular group or person.
Everyone is unique. People say that they're different-and they are- but some people literally try to be different on purpose, mostly the people that call themselves "popular". It makes no sense, people who are "popular"-or so they say- are all the same; they all talk the same, look the same, act the same way etc. They always say things like "Oh we're so different", and "We don't bully people because everyone is different and we know who it feels to be treated badly because we're different too". Stuff like that annoys me so much! Yet really the people who stick out like a sore thumb in the crowds and who are truly different are ridiculed and shunned from the "popular" group. I myself have experienced this first hand. I tried to fit in with the "popular" kids but they made fun of me and called me names but now I have found people who were treated the same and I have great friends. I just don't understand how they can say that they're against bullying yet turn around and called somebody names and laugh at them. And the worst part is, is that no matter how hard you try to get rid of people like that, they will always be there no matter where you go. I hate them, I really do! I mean take Steve Rogers (Captain America) for example, he was this short, skinny, loser kid that no one really liked but then he became this strong man, he became a hero! The serum is not what made in a super strong man, well mostly it did, but what made what he is today is the fact that he wasn't scared and that the man he is now was always inside of him and the serum just help that man come out and show his true power. My point is don't long to be "popular" and known aspire to be peculiar and uncommon.
Look around you. Are you really like? Or is it staged? |

If animals could speak.

The Sailboat and I
A poem by Albert Safford.
There’s a little sailboat, just outside of Wales
There’s a little sailboat, just outside of Wales
When the wind is
just right and I feel a little down
I lift up its
mighty sails and take off to the ocean
The adventures I
go on, the places I see!
This sailboat and
I have been to the moon and back and around the world
We have seen
everything, from the wonders of the world that are known to all, to the hidden
ruins that are crumbling before our eyes
When I’m in
floating on the open waters
I wish to never
return to the real world and wish to stay in my fantasies
Soon the sun
starts to set and I realize that I must return but I know that I’ll be back
Once the sun rises
again in the morning, I’ll be back on this little sailboat just outside of Wales
Because you can always
take the man away from the adventure but you can never take the adventure away
from the man
Goodnight Ireland.
We're All Equal.
In today's society we're judged by the colour of our skin, the country we're from, the language we speak and the people we love. well you know what I have to say about that? That's wrong! If you take away everything that is on the outside of us and look at what's on the inside, you'll see that we're all the same. I don't think it matters what you look like, how you speak or who you choose to love. You're no different then me! The people who say the rude, mean, and hurtful things to people who are a little different, they should be the ones that people are shunning and and calling names, not perfectly good people! And if you're one of those people who are belittling those who look/act different, you should be ashamed of yourself! You're not perfect! Who are you to judge?! They're no different then you! I mean come on, we're in the 21st century, times are different and people should now be aloud to be who they are. I hope I made my message clear to those of you who are reading.
Goodnight Ireland.
The First Post.
I guess I would have to say that the first post is always that hardest to write. But it's also the most important post of the whole blog. It either makes or breaks the blog, it either makes the reader want more or make them want nothing to do with the existence of you or your blog, it's the symbol of the birth of your blog.
Goodnight Ireland.
